The Fort Leavenworth Stables is an FMWR activity that offers year round boarding. The stables are one of the last historic buildings on post still being used for their original purpose. When you take one step on the original brick aisle way, it is as if you have taken a step back in time. If you have a horse or are thinking about purchasing one, consider the facility, the conveniencec, the prices, and the long lasting history of Fort Leavenworth.

HORSE BOARDING / SELF HELP or Full:

Available to Active Duty Military Personnel, Retirees, & DoD Civilians

SELF HELP:
10X10 stall: $85.00 per month

10X15 stall: $105.00 per month

10X20 stall: $125.00 per month

Self Care: Patron is responsible for the care of their own horse(s).

Stalls MUST be cleaned a minimum of 1 time per day.

FULL BOARD:
10X10 stall: $215.00 per month

10X15 stall: $245.00 per month

10X20 stall: $275.00 per month

Full Board includes: feeding 2 times per day, four flakes of hay per day, daily stall cleaning, and paddock turnout.

FEES:
Self Care: See above

Full Board: See above
Flakes of Hay: Can be purchased from Stables at 50 cents per flake

Bales of Hay: Can be purchased from Stables at $3.80 per bale
Horse Trailer Spaces: $15 per month per space

Pasture Turn Out: $15.00 per horse per month
Deposit of $145.00 per horse

       
VETERINARY REQUIREMENTS:

Quarantine – Your horse will stay in quarantine for a minimum of 10 days and will be examined by the Post Veterinarian

Proof of Negative Coggins Test within (6) months of arrival

Proof of Deworming within (30) days of arrival, please contact Fort Leavenworth's Stables directly to get specific worming schedule that will be required.

Health Certificate within (7) days if traveling from within Kansas or within (10) days if traveling from out of state.

Specific Immunizations are also required, contact Fort Leavenworth Stables directly for the list
