Established in the Fall of 1994, the Naval War College Polo Club
offers Club
Membership, Tournaments, and Polo Lessons for all levels.
Glen Farm, in Portsmouth,RI is a multi-disciplinary facility offering
boarding,
lessons, leasing, clinics, polo tournaments, and horseshows.
But -- most importantly (to us), it is home to the Naval War College's Polo Program.
The buildings, barns, and programs at Glen Farm
have been touching
the lives of horse lovers for over 100 years!

The War College Program
introduces individuals to the aggressive
sport of Arena Polo in sessions based on their abilities.
As students
improve, they are able to switch classes and upgrade to faster paced sessions.
As Manager of Glen Farm, Ted Torrey wears many hats
but none more appreciated by the military than his role as
Coach and Instructor for War College Polo!
If
you pop in on Monday or Wednesday evenings,
you're apt
to find Ted in the indoor coaching from the sidelines
but, if you're lucky -- he'll be saddled up
and
showing students his magic with the mallet!!
Adult Lessons are available and beginners are welcome!
Translation: You can be a beginner rider or an advanced rider who is a beginner polo player!

Polo Lessons are Open to Active Duty, Retirees, Military Dependents,
Spouses, and other family members or friends of those attending the
Naval War College
(or other military commands at the Naval Station Newport).
You'll be hard pressed to find another program like this anywhere in the country!!
